This is great for people who desire to skate but can’t.  The tricks accomplished on these fingerboards are the same tricks you see on actual skateboards.

How to Use a Mini Finger Skateboard

Finger skateboard is quite popular among young teens. It is designed to look like a real skateboard. By doing a lot of practice, you can do almost all the tricks that done on a real skateboard. The first thing that you need to do is to purchase a fingerboard and a skateboard ramp. If you are a first-timer then you should buy Tech Deck. The next step is to do the standing position using your two fingers. Place your index finger in the middle and the middle finger on the rear.

Tech Deck also offers some fabulous rails, ramps and other types of obstacles that you can use together with your fingerboards. However, these are actually unnecessary since there are other things that you can use such as pencils, staplers, books, and binders. You can use this stuff for grinding, sliding or doing an ollie.

Finally, choose a trick that you want to master. Begin doing the standard position by putting your index finger in the middle of the fingerboard. Then place your middle finger on the rear part of the board.

To do a shove it, use your middle finger and do a light flip towards you. Spin the board and put pressure on the index finger to properly control it.

5 Finger Skateboard Tricks

Here are some amazing fingerboard tricks that you should try:

1. How to do an Ollie:

Do the standard position by putting your index finger on the middle part of the board and your middle finger on the back part of the board. Apply pressure to your middle finger as you push forward to bring the nose up in the air. Slightly move your index finger forward towards the nose in order to balance the board while lifting the tail off the ground.

2. How to do a Kickflip:

Put your fingers in the ollie position, however, move the index finger a bit at the back so that it won’t be crossing over the whole board. Using your middle finger, apply pressure in the tail so that the nose will lift up. When you slide your middle finger, bend your wrist as well towards your body. In this way, the finger will slide off at an angle.

3. How To Do a Heelflip:

Place your fingers in the ollie position, however, the fingertip of the index finger should be pressed down. Lift the board. Flip your index finger away from you so that the board will also flip away from you. After doing several flips, place your fingers back into the board to land it.

4. How To Do Vert Tricks:

The Rock and Roll – Use a quarter or a half pipe. Place your fingers in the Ollie position. Make sure that the front truck is hooked up on the coping. To roll down, lift the front truck and let it roll down the ramp.

The Blunt Stall – Ride a quarter pipe by letting the back truck rest on the coping while the front truck remains soaring on air. Slide your fingers up to keep the board floating then ride down the pipe.

5. How To Do Grinds:

The 50-50 – Ride at the edge of the rail. Do an ollie at the rail. Let the trucks land on the rail, roll until you’ll reach the end then land it.

Finger skateboard was originally sold as novelty keychains. Later on, it became a hobby of men who are in their twenties. Now, there are competitions held in different countries. In Germany, a fingerboard event was held and participated by several riders. Once you become an expert in finger skateboards then perhaps you might want to try riding real skateboards.
